A 7.7 magnitude earthquake struck off Canada's Pacific coast in the Queen Charlotte Islands at 1:04pm AEST (2:04pm AEDST, or 5:04pm Hawaii Standard Time) prompting a tsunami warning for all Hawaiian Islands to be issued by the Pacific Tsunami Warning Center
There are also tsunami advisories for British Columbia, Alaska, California and Oregon.
The Australian Joint Tsunami Warning Centre issued a 'no threat' tsunami bulletin at 1:34pm AEST (2:34pm AEDST) indicating "there is no tsunami threat to the Australian mainland, islands or territories".
